Flufio is a pet care planner for iPhone and Apple Watch. Your care data stays on your device and in your own iCloud. This page explains what the app stores and what it sends.
No account
You do not need an account to use Flufio. We do not ask for your name or email address. Flufio does not upload your pet data to our servers.
Data stored on your device
Flufio stores this data on your device:
- Pet profiles, including names, breeds, and photos
- Routines, medication details, vet appointments, and reminders
- Care history, including what happened and when
- Weight records
- Journal entries and photos
The Home Screen widget and the Apple Watch app show part of this data. Flufio shares it with them on your own devices. Nothing is sent to us.
Flufio only reads the photos you pick in the iOS photo picker. It does not read your whole photo library.
Backups
Flufio saves a backup to your own iCloud Drive once a day and keeps the last 7. Apple stores these files in your iCloud account. We cannot see them. You can turn this off in Settings, Backup. You can also export a backup file from Settings. The file holds your pet data and photos. You choose where to save it. The file is not encrypted, so keep it somewhere safe. You can restore the file on another device. A restore replaces the data in the app.
Calendar and PDF export
You can add a vet appointment to your calendar. iOS shows the event first, and Flufio only saves it if you tap Add. Flufio cannot read your calendar. You can also create a PDF care summary for one pet and share it. Flufio does not send it anywhere unless you do.
Notifications
Reminders are local notifications. They are created and shown on your device. Flufio asks for permission first. You can turn notifications off in iOS Settings at any time.
Anonymous usage data
Flufio uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, to see which features people use and to find crashes. This is on by default. You can turn it off in Settings with the switch "Share anonymous usage data". The change applies right away.
When it is on, Flufio can send these signals:
- Onboarding finished
- A routine was created, with its type (for example walk, medication, or appointment)
- A care action was logged, with its type and outcome (for example done, skipped, or refused), and whether it was a correction
- The paywall was shown, and why
- A purchase was completed, with the product ID
- Crash and hang reports from iOS, as counts, with the app version and the type of error
Flufio never sends pet names, notes, photos, medication names, doses, or appointment details. TelemetryDeck also records basic signals about app sessions and the device, such as app version, iOS version, and device model. The data is not linked to your identity. We do not use it for tracking or advertising. We do not sell it.
This website
This website uses Plausible Analytics to count page visits. It does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. Visits are counted in aggregate and cannot be linked to you.
Purchases
Flufio Plus is bought through the App Store. Apple handles payment. We do not see or store your payment details.
Crash reports
Flufio does not include a separate crash reporting service. It gets crash and hang counts from iOS (see "Anonymous usage data"). Apple may also share crash logs with us through App Store Connect if you chose to share them in iOS Settings.
Children
Flufio is for pet owners. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
